If F. Scott Fitzgerald had been a painter, he would have painted his Valley of Ashes in The Great Gatsby just the way Giovanni Cerri painted his dumping grounds - a wasteland of lost worlds, lost
dreams and lost ideals, the wasteland of a country that lost its dignity.
An excellent exhibition!
